2020 Ram ProMaster Trim Levels

2020 RAM ProMaster Cargo Van with door open parked in warehouse near stairs

Since the ProMaster line of RAM vans is designed for use with businesses, a change in trims almost changes the function of the vehicle, unlike with regular cars where a change in trim is just a change in cosmetic or interior features.

At Renfrew Chrysler, we only carry the RAM ProMaster Cargo Van, so this page will only compare the different trims available for the RAM ProMaster Cargo Van, not the ProMaster City or any specific upfit features.

Class, Roof, and Wheelbase Compatibility Summary

If you don’t pay attention, most of the RAM ProMaster vans look the same, but the level of customization is deeper than you might think. The 118-Inch wheelbase is only available with the 1500 Cargo Van with the low roof option. The 136-Inch wheelbase is by far the most common and pairs with every class. The 1500 class is sold with either roof option and only the two shortest wheelbases. The 159-Inch wheelbase is only paired with the 3500 and 2500 class but is never used with the low roof option.

Other Forms of the 2020 RAM ProMaster Cargo Van

There are other trims that are part of the Cargo Van family. These trims include the Window Van, the Chassis Cab, and the Cutaway. Each of these is specific to certain business needs. The Window Van uses the high roof and the largest wheelbase but is more practical for deliveries or even shuttling passengers. The Chassis Cab might seem similar to the RAM truck Chassis Cab, but it is not. The Cutaway is the most customizable version of the van because it is not built with a wall behind the front seats, and can be paired with all kinds of after-market additions.
